Dying to LIVE
Excerpt From Book
This
was Tom's second visit to Matt's office in two weeks.
The first was in response to Tom feeling fatigued. The
nurse didn't sound anxious when she phoned and asked him
tot come in. Still, Tom wished that Marcie were there...
After
gathering himself, Tom popped the door open and stepped
out onto the sidewalk of their well kempt property. He
was proud of the house they had built. It was everything
they had always wanted in a home. Tom loved doing yard
work, and his efforts in keeping the yard up were
obvious to others,. Tom looked at the yard and slowly
shook his head knowing that this was no longer a
priority. As he grabbed the railing leading up the
steps, he felt the peeling paint on the iron rail and
reflected on how many times he was going to get to the
chore of repainting. Another thing falling off the 'to
do' list, he mused.
